February Wrap Up
Greetings Brightworks!
What a vibrant time across our community as we recognize and celebrate Black History Month, Lunar New Year, Ramadan (Ramadan Mubarak), and Mardi Gras, to name just a few. These holidays are a wonderful reminder of the diversity, traditions, and perspectives that enrich our school. As we round the corner from a rare alignment of these holidays, we find ourselves at a unique intersection of tradition and shared humanity.
At Brightworks, we often speak about the "Magic of Learning," and this season offers a powerful parallel. Whether through celebration, fasting, or gathering, these observances all center on a core human necessity: the need to pause, reflect, and reset. We want to extend a special thank you to Dorothy for sharing Lunar New Year traditions and to Nadia for sharing the Fasching (Austria) holiday traditions with the students in Garnet and Lapis.
As our students dive into the Exploration phase of the Magic Arc, we are inspired by this convergence of hope and momentum. Armed with cutting-edge technology—from 3D printing and laser cutters to advanced digital modeling tools—our students are not just studying the concept of "magic", they are becoming the magicians, engineers, and authors of it. We are not just teaching history or science; we are honoring the different ways our community finds meaning and renews its commitment to a better future.
May the energy of this unique season—the fire of the horse, the discipline of reflection, and the abundance of celebration—inspire peace and positive momentum for you and your loved ones throughout the year.
We are so honored to be partners in your child’s growth.
Warmly,
Michlene & The Brightworks Team
