Guest Artist: Gerald C. Rivers

Fantastic drummer and MLK historian, Gerald C. Rivers is coming to grace us with his amazing talents on January 17, 2024.

Gerald C. Rivers is a naturally talented and classically trained Shakespearean Actor, Voiceover Artist, Inspirational Speaker and Master West African Drummer and teacher. He is known for his voice over work in cartoons, animated feature films & internet series, internationally popular video games, and radio & television commercials and campaigns. Gerald is also the founder and Executive Director of Message Media Group a multi media edutainment company, providing presentations and workshops to all age groups.

 
 

We are thrilled that he will be joining us at Brightworks on January 17.

Gerald C. Rivers is an actor, teacher, master african drummer and voice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!

The program will be as follows: 

  • 9:15 AM - Drums will call students/staff out to the woodchips (all invited). Choir/Drumming circle and recitation of MLK speech by Gerald

  • 10:00 AM - Closing drum/choir circle.

  • Then, he will go to the Lower and Upper Elementary, Middle school and High School for a deeper dive into his work and Dr. King's legacy.
