Happy Trans Week of Visibility & Action!
The Trans Week of Visibility occurs annually during the week of March 31st, the International Transgender Day of Visibility. This week honors and celebrates the joy and resilience of trans and nonbinary people.
The event was started in 2009 by Michigan-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall as a way to elevate and celebrate the transgender communities and our many differences.
Trans people are increasingly vulnerable and the target of aggressive acts as the result of misinformation and discrimination.
During Trans Week of Visibility, our school reaffirms its commitment to addressing LGBTQ bias and to supporting trans members of our community so that they know they are safe and belong.
