Community Offerings

Brightworks thrives on the strength of our community, and we're continually inspired by the talents, skills, and connections that each of you bring to our learning environment.

We believe that our community is not only about our students but also the incredible adults that surround them – parents, grandparents, friends, and acquaintances, all of whom offer something special.

To harness this wealth of expertise and generosity, we're excited to invite you to participate in our Community Offerings Survey. This is your opportunity to share your unique talents, professional skills, or special connections with the Brightworks community. By doing so, you can make a meaningful contribution to our collaborative learning environment.

Please take a few moments to complete this survey, letting us know how you'd like to get involved and share your valuable gifts. Thank you for being an essential part of Brightworks and for your willingness to enhance the experiences of our students, families, and collaborators.

Some examples of entries in the database:

1. Local Art Studio Owner: A Brightworks parent is the owner of a local art studio. They're willing to host art workshops for students, sharing their expertise in various art forms. BWX Students can join for 50% off the listed rate. They're also available, 4x a year, to collaborators who would like them to host field trips to learn about running a small business.

2. Board Member at SFMOMA: A Brightworks auntie is on the board of the SFMOMA. She is able to help arrange special tours for classes.

3.  Hobby Gardener:  Another parent is a hobby gardener who offers to give gardening lessons during community friday or assist in maintaining the school's planters.

4.  Professional Photographer: A grandparent is a photographer and would like to offer collaborators the opportunity to get updated headshots or to take photos of student work for portfolios. They also have a family photography business and would like to give brightworks families a discount on services.

5. Community Resource Provider: Add your business info to the Brightworks Community database --this will contain a list of community resources that families can tap into, such as local therapists, tutors, pediatricians, or support groups for various needs. Do you offer classes for parents, students, or want to share a service your family has found useful?  Add it!  It can help families connect with services that align with Brightworks' values and educational approach.
