out in the field

All four bands went out today to enjoy the sun and explore the world. They brought back amazing pictures and sunburns and salt!The Rubber Band made a stop at Tartine......before spending the day in Dolores Park writing, reading, and enjoying the sun.The Sand Leopards made salted fish in the morning.They took turns pushing William in a wheelchair (borrowed from the amazing Red Cross!) all the way to Dolores Park and back.They visited Southern Exposure to see an artist who makes Combat Paper, which is paper made from former army uniforms. He did a demonstration and made a print for them using his techniques.With an army of parent volunteers, the Coyotes and the Phantoms went with Gever and their collaborators to the salt flats in Menlo Park. They explored the salt water and salt deposits.
