Whew! The return from the Mendocino Woodlands brought sickness, a messy office, and lots of details to wrangle, leaving me without much room for writing blog posts! Just wanted to post a few of the best photos from our incredible, school-changing experience under tall, tall trees. It was a truly different, fulfilling, exhausting, magical time.During our week, we explored the redwood forests with the help of a great staff of naturalists, kissed banana slugs, worked on band bonds, brushed teeth in the same trough sink with freezing cold water, slept in cabins with no windows, spent time gazing up at the canopy of leaves and needles and down at the springy ground, smelled clean air, canoed down a river, and played at the beach.
