Evening Event - Five Dangerous Things

Dear friends and families,

I am developing a new talk and I would love your early feedback and contributions. Please join me for an interesting evening conversation and the first of our monthly salons, next week on September 10th from 6:30 to 8pm.

This month I am workshopping an upcoming talk that I've titled "Five Dangerous Things Every School Should Measure". My thesis is that we've focussed our attention in education on the wrong sets of skills and knowledge, and that by changing what we focus on we can reshape the future of education to be more valuable, effective, and engaging.

The talk itself is still fairly rough, and I'm hoping that our conversation will help me refine it into a form that is easy to translate (the first public delivery of this talk is in Slovakia next month).

Each month, I will host interesting hands-on experiences, foundational ideas of Brightworks, and conversations with educators and members of our amazing community. Some will be on weekend mornings, some will be in the evening, and most will have a little more notice than this one. I hope you can make it!

This is a fairly high level conversation about education, and we cannot offer child care in the evening, so while all students are welcome, not all are going to find it easy to connect with :-)
