The BIPoC Family “Kickback”
On Wednesday November 30, 2022, the Power & Privilege (P&P) committee hosted their first fall BIPoC Family "kickback" event of the school year (this past Thursday). The gathering was held inside the BWX Library and focused on strengthening and nurturing the BIPoC family community. Families got the opportunity to sit down and engage in conversation over warm delicious food.
The evening included a short presentation on BWX anti-racism and social justice initiatives by DEI Director Sergio Suarez and Obsidian Collaborator Michlene Cotter.
The P&P committee would like to thank all the BIPoC families who took time out of their day to share space and energy. The committee is also working on finalizing dates for the spring edition of the BIPoC family "kickback" event, so please keep an eye out for that email.
